In a little under a month, I will be riding my 1200 Nightster, Helena, on a 4000 mile round trip to Corvallis Montana, via St Louis and Denver to pick up and chill with my long lost Babes.  The trip home- through Sturgis for pre-parties, just to flip flop to my Ironhead, Breeze, and fly down to Boogie Farm for the Clam Jam!! I am so excited. I can hardly believe it's almost here, and I feel like I got my ticket forever ago! The Rocky Mountain Roll (@rockmtnroll) is obviously a ride to Montana, and through the Northern Rockies.  I'm STOKED as hell to be able to ride my sporty on some good roads! The rear fender has a huge scrape down to the metal, dent and horrible repaint job, to save from rust.  Like it matters.  It's been running for exactly 3 days.  I wasn't extremely happy with the way the re-pop fender painted up anyway, so when I took the newly named, 1976 Ironhead Sportster , The Breeze, on her shakedown ride, and the sissy bar,  seated in the brackets I had picked up at a swap meet last fall- for a great price AND a great conversation, popped out and I heard a dreaded SSSCCCRRRRRRRRRAAATTCCCHHHHHHHH CHING CHING..... I believe that all people are equal.  I'm a huge believer in the fact that we all have a similar skeleton beneath our skin, no matter what extremities we bear, what hair color we have, what our muscle tone is... We're all human. And we are all destined for one thing. It was by complete happenstance we even met.  Blew into my life, and out just as quickly.  The man I came to call my best friend, accomplice, partner in crime, riding companion, brother, the breeze- Banksey. One hot summer day, about 8 or so years ago- I was working at Catalpa Grove in Toulon.  Small town, even smaller bar.  It was the size of a trailer, with a bar down one side, two high top tables taking up the entirety of the 'dining area', and a back room with a set of stairs right inside of it, so if you weren't paying attention or you were off your shit, you're going down 12 steps- hard.  There were 3 very well placed .45 holes in this bars walls, and ONLY the regulars knew where #1 and #2 were... and WHY.  This bar had history- you could smell it in the unfinished wood floors every night you mopped.  And the cow shit laden boots of the late afternoon crowd always helped to leave a hefty ring at the bottom of the mop bucket. So today I ran across an article entitled: "Why do hot girls brand themselves with neck tattoos?" An article about how it is impossible for him to find a hot girlfriend that doesn't have a tattoo on her neck... apparently. Hhmmmmm... 3 things stand out IMMEDIATELY in the title. 1; "hot girls" The author must be extremely educated to refer to women as 'girls' and HOT is just an enduring term we all love hearing.. educated as far as a college kid who's spending his daddies and mommies money to get his business degree because he will be a successful and rich 'business' man who wears 80,000$ suits and wipes his feet on hundos- he can't stand for his large breasted 'hot' wife to look 'trashy'- obviously.  He needs the trophy to reflect how well HE'S doing.  2; He calls it a brand.
